Briggs is a buddy of mine, who's definitely one to watch. We met a few years ago when we were in the same Fantasy Football league with some guys from church. I hadn't seen him in awhile, and when I asked what'd been going on lately, he said, "Oh, I've been filming some movies and such."
So casual about it. I certainly wasn't surprised but still was very pumped to hear about those adventures. (Note: He is an actor, so his response wasn't a random one.)
We shot out in Brooklyn, along the Bridge. It was a very cold afternoon, but Briggs was a trooper. He was like "What expressions do you want?" I was like, "Just give me whatever you got, man."
While we shot, it was also fun to discuss his creative pursuits as well as my own. It's very refreshing to talk to friends who can relate to dealing with feedback and critiques, stepping out into new creative territory, and never giving up. Because, you never know when you'll find yourself in a "right place at the right time" situation.
